In America, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November each year. A day celebrated with friends and family or a day to get stuffed, here’s how others celebrate their Thanksgiving day.

Michael Drake, a sophomore, says he’s thankful for his hard-headed girlfriend, Julie. He celebrates Thanksgiving at his mom’s house, where his family all gathers. “We all have a big feast,” Drake said.

His mother cooks sweet pumpkin pie, stuffing, mashed potatoes, ham, and of course, turkey. The colonists hunted wild turkeys in North America back in 1631,which is why turkey is traditionally the main course.

Michael’s favorite food is the stuffing, and his least favorite is sweet corn casserole because he says the texture is “too slimy”.

Megan Criddle, a senior, is most thankful for her family and friends being there for her. Some foods she eats are potato casserole, stuffing, and turkey.

“I enjoy everything but if I had to choose my least favorite it would be stuffing,”said Criddle. Her favorite dish is the sweet potato casserole.

Lydia Farr ,a senior, celebrates Thanksgiving at her grandparents’ house. Some foods she eats are macaroni and cheese, rolls, turkey, and ham. Her favorite dish is the ham.

“My least favorite is green beans,” said Farr. No matter what yummy foods are cooked, Thanksgiving is truly a day to spend with your loved ones. As Farr said, “I am most thankful for my friends and family.”
